The Boathouse is an outfitter space in McAdenville, NC and operates as the headquarters of Catawba Riverkeeper’s recreation activities! 

It’s the place where Catawba Riverkeeper staff members can engage with visitors and residents alike and connect them with our most precious natural resource (the river!), while also educating them on ways they can help protect it.

At The Boathouse, you can rent a kayak/canoe/SUP, meet for a guided tour through the South Fork rapids, shop sustainable apparel, and enjoy snacks, local craft beer, & soft drinks. The Boathouse is also home to Jam at the Dam, Catawba Riverkeeper’s live music summer event series, where you can kick back, relax with family & friends, hear regional musicians, and support the work of Catawba Riverkeeper at the same time!

Proceeds from rentals and sales at The Boathouse go directly to Catawba Riverkeeper's mission to preserve, protect, and restore our lakes and streams. When you rent a kayak or make a purchase, know that you are supporting education programs for kids and adults, water quality monitoring, science-based advocacy, and cleanups!
